Budget Pro for iPhone

Budget Pro collects nothing. It has no servers, no account and no analytics. It makes no network requests of its own. There is nowhere for your data to go, which is the only version of this promise worth making.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter — accounts, transactions, budgets, income, savings, trips and any Zakat figures — is stored on your device. We never receive it and cannot see it.
iCloud
If you are signed in to iCloud, your data syncs through your own private iCloud database so it is available on your other devices and is included in your Apple backups. This is your personal iCloud storage, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it and no ability to request it. Turning off iCloud for Budget Pro in iOS Settings keeps everything on the one device.
The camera
Budget Pro can scan a paper receipt. The text is read on your device using Apple's built-in text recognition. The image is not uploaded, not stored in your photo library, and is discarded once the text has been read. The camera is used only when you start a scan.
Statements you import
A CSV you import is parsed on your device. The file is not transmitted anywhere and is not retained after the import finishes.
Backups you export
You can export an encrypted backup file. It is encrypted with a passphrase you choose, using AES-GCM with a key derived by PBKDF2. We do not hold that passphrase and cannot recover it or the file's contents. Where you then put the file — Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, anywhere else — is entirely your choice and outside this app.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
There are none. No analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, no crash reporter, no third-party libraries of any kind. Budget Pro does not track you across apps or websites and shows no adverts.
Children
Budget Pro is rated 4+ and is safe for any age, but it is a household budgeting tool intended for adults. Because it collects no data at all, it collects none from children.
Payment
Budget Pro is a one-off purchase from the App Store. Apple handles the transaction. We never see your payment details.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear at this address with a new date. If a future version of the app ever collected anything, that change would be described here before it shipped.
